"Local Window Fashion Franchise Sets National Company Record"

Minnesotans may still be waiting for a Super Bowl Trophy or Stanley Cup, but they do have at least one home-state championship team.

Jeff Wellen and Jon Schmidt, owners of the Today’s Window Fashions franchise serving the metro area and outstate Minnesota, were recently honored by the nationwide company for top sales and service during 2007. In fact, they recorded the highest sales in the company’s history.

The award was presented at the Today’s Window Fashions Business Conference at the Pala Mesa Resort in San Diego, California. Also honored were Minnesota sales associates Linda Green and Lynn Snedicker, who earned invitations to the conference by winning a sales contest.

While setting their sales record last year, members of the local franchise also found time to work on the Extreme Makeover Home Edition project and Habitat for Humanity.

Today’s Window Fashions is a company that designs, orders, and installs custom window coverings including blinds, shutters, shades, drapes, and many other types of window treatment. Their “showrooms on wheels” call at customers’ homes to help them select window fashions to fit their decor.

Sales associate Linda Green, owners Jon Schmidt and Jeff Wellen, and sales associate Lynn Snedicker accepted their trophies at the National Conference of Today’s Window Fashions in San Diego.

Today’s Window Fashion had the honor of working with the Exteme Makeover team from TJB Homes in Minnesota to change the lives of the Swenson-Lee family. The Swenson-Lee family was struck with tragedy centered around domestic violence and the contractors based out of Blaine, MN came together to build them a dream in only 99 hours! “Everyone is coming together, competitors and co-workers alike to help a family many have never met. It’s awe-inspiring to be part of” says Tom Budzynski from TJB Homes.

The owners of Today’s Window Fashions presented an award to Lynne Snediker at their 2007 holiday party for her sales excellence by acquiring and servicing Lifetime Fitness, which is the largest single account in the company’s history.

On December 20th, 2007, Today’s Window Fashions, Kathy Ireland Home by Alta, and Centex Homes in association with Habitat For Humanity came together to drywall a town home complex in Plymouth. “We’ve a great year in our organization so it’s very appropriate for all of us to work together to provide shelter for deserving families. The fact that we had a blast in process was icing on the cake.” reflects Jon Schmidt with Today’s Window Fashions.
